Toronto Botanical Garden is planning to complete work on two stunning water gardens, one displaying a simple decorative pool providing a place of quiet contemplation, and the other featuring a lily pond showcasing water edge planting, bog vegetation and aquatics. The gardens demonstrate how substantial green infrastructure can be integrated into simple urban spaces. Planting will continue in the Knot Garden, a sculpted masterpiece reflecting the varied textures and colours in this all-season garden. The Loggia and North Pergola will be completed with a myriad of colourful climbing plants and showcase the art of vertical gardening.

Essential but unseen are the various elements that ensure a working garden functions smoothly. Composting bins create cost-efficient and environmentally friendly nutrients, rakes move needed mulch to protect plants, and irrigation lines feed life into plants.

The work continues indoors as meeting rooms are updated with state-of-the-art audio visual equipment and amenities, making the TBG one of the greenest meeting spaces in the city.
