Toronto Botanical Garden's renewed building and spectacular demonstration gardens are now a reality. The 12 themed gardens showcase important species, cultivars, landscape techniques and structures and highlight nature at its very best. The landscapes were designed as different environments to showcase the diversity of plant material that can be grown in this region and to emphasize the variety and specialty of each cultivar. Now the nurturing begins.

Some plants will need to be replaced, some will be moved, new plants will need to be added. Care and fostering is required to enable plants to thrive in their new environment. In the case of Toronto Botanical Garden, botanical demonstration also requires a high level of variety and quality of the plant material, and labels and interpretation that are necessary for the educational component of the garden.

To ensure that these demonstration gardens will continue to stimulate and educate future generations of gardeners, environmentalists and earth lovers, the upkeep and enhancement of the gardens today is critical. To this end, Toronto Botanical Garden has established an endowment fund.

An Endowment Fund is unique in that funds are permanently set aside and invested; expenditures are made from the funds earned interest and the principal remains intact. In this way, endowment can provide a dependable source of revenue for the organization to continue it's important work and provide a financially responsible and stable framework. The Toronto Botanical Garden Endowment Fund will support the upkeep and enhancement of the gardens to ensure that they continue to flourish for future generations of citizens and visitors.

By making a donation to The Toronto Botanical Garden Endowment Fund you are making a difference for generations of children and adults who will enjoy and benefit from these environmentally responsible gardens. Your donation will go a long way to provide essential tools, nutrients and care to these newly planted gardens. In turn, the gardens will be enjoyed by children as they learn the importance of a greener environment and by adults learning how to make the vital choices in growing a beautiful and natural garden. Your donation will make a difference.
