In Memory Gifts
Memorialize your loved one with a donation in their memory. This special gift is the perfect memorial for those loved ones that enjoyed a love of the great outdoors and treasured gardens and plants.

Here are a few simple ways to commemorate a loved one with an In Memory Gift:

  1. If you would like friends and mourners to make a donation to Toronto Botanical Garden in lieu of flowers we suggest you include this request in your loved one's death notice. An example of wording is: 'Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Toronto Botanical Garden, 777 Lawrence Ave E, Toronto, Ontario, M3C 1P2 www.torontobotanicalgarden.ca'
  2. A group gift from friends and family can be made to the Toronto Botanical Garden, and we will send a card to the bereaved family to notify them of the generous donation made on behalf of their loved one.
  3. Individuals can give a gift in memory of a loved one or friend and a card to the bereaved family will be sent to notify them of their thoughtful donation.

Brick Program
Commemorate a loved one permanently in the Teaching Garden located in Edwards Gardens.
The Toronto Botanical Garden Brick Program allows families to honour a loved one, celebrate a special occasion or memorialize a friend. The bricks are placed in the Teaching Garden for the public to enjoy and each dollar raised supports the education and services provided by the Toronto Botanical Garden both in the Teaching Garden and in our community.

In-Kind Gifts

Interested in donating product, plants or equipment to the Toronto Botanical Garden? We have a myriad of needs including office furniture and equipment, plants for the gardens, tools for our gardeners and corporate products for our special event auctions. Before you drop by see our In-Kind List and then contact the Development Department at 416-397-1483 or annualgiving@torontobotanicalgarden.ca to determine what items are currently required.

Library Program

Love books? Donate towards a book in the Weston Family Library and have your name or the name of your loved one permanently in a bookplate.

In addition, donations of used books are welcomed. Donations of used books which are not deemed suitable for addition to the collection will be sold in the library's book sale, which generates much-needed revenue for the library. Donations of used books are tax receiptable only if the value of the donation has already been determined by a qualified appraiser.

Plant Lovers Fund
Love plants or know someone who does?
The Toronto Botanical Garden Plant Lovers Fund allows families to honour a loved one, celebrate a special occasion or memorialize a friend. The plants and trees are located within the Toronto Botanical Garden for you to enjoy and your honoree's name will be listed in our Plant Lovers Fund Commemoration Book located in the Weston Family Library. Each dollar raised supports the nurturing and care needed for these special plants.
