The 9th annual Doors Open Toronto will have a special focus on Toronto’s Sacred Spaces and Sacred Circles. This weekend, up to 150 buildings of architectural, historic, cultural and social significance open their doors to the public for a city-wide celebration. Admission is free of charge.

TBG has been selected as one of the buildings highlighted this year. Activities at the TBG include:

self-guided tours of the green building, new straw-bale garden shed and outdoor themed gardens

Between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.

  • learn about the sacred plants and garden vegetables of India
  • have your hands painted with a Mehndi floral design
  • view a Rangoli floor art display and traditional Mandap used in Indian weddings and ceremonies
  • hands-on crafts for children including Kite-making and Rangoli sand-painting.
