12 THEMED GARDENS - PLUS ONE IN 2008

In September 2006 the Toronto Botanical Garden officially opened a series of 12 contemporary themed gardens spanning nearly four acres. This marks the birth of a new botanical garden for the city of Toronto. The landscaping will enhance the educational experience by providing demonstration gardens and areas for hands-on learning. Toronto Botanical Garden will become a destination for Torontonians to enjoy and engage in the splendour of nature, while learning practical applications for their own gardens. The gardens are compact, reflecting the scale of a typical urban setting, making it easy for visitors to translate the ideas to their own gardens.

In 2008, the Toronto Botanical Garden will establish a new garden, the Woodland Walk, located at the corner of the property.
