FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: Must I be enrolled in the Certificate Program in order to take Floral Design Classes?
A: No! In fact, we encourage you to take a few classes to determine whether or not you would be interested in obtaining a certificate.

Q: Will courses be marked?
Students will receive a Pass/Fail in each course. Attendance at all classes will be required.

Q: Is there a time limitation for obtaining the certificate?
A: Yes, 6 years from the start of the first class.

Q: Why must I buy my own materials and supplies?
A: Part of the learning experience is choosing the best materials, colours and textures for a design. Also, it can be a cost savings for the students. Many students cut flowers and leaves from their own gardens or houseplants and use recyclable materials as containers. Course materials lists will be provided in advance.

Q: Who should I contact to get more information?
A: To get more information, contact the Program Coordinator at the Toronto Botanical Garden at 416-397-1362 or programs@torontobotanicalgarden.ca.
