Climate
Change and
Tropical Forests
Bruce Calhoun, founder of "Save the Rainforest", will
talk about the ecosystem services tropical forests provide, and
why measures for preserving rainforests should be included in the
new climate change agreement that will be ratified in Copenhagen
in December of 2009. This is the agreement that will succeed the
Kyoto Protocol. He will also talk about how people in Toronto can
help shape the climate change agreement, volunteer in the tropics,
or join a rainforest learning expedition.
